A Fantastic Holiday in the Valley of the 1000 Palm Trees in Haría, Lanzarote...
Are there really 1000 palm trees?!? Well,
surely nobody has explicitly counted them!
But it is
a fact that the beautiful palm-oasis of Haría, surrounded by wasteland,
is the only greater accumulation of trees on Lanzarote - thus being by far the
greenest spot of the Island!
The construction style in the
village centre of Haría, in harmony with the laurel trees and acacias,
radiates an air of the Middle East. Lanzarote's famous artists César Manrique had not without reason chosen to spend his retirement in Haría...! |

A
holiday in Haría' is an individual holiday in the
middle of nature, far from the usual mass tourism. In Haría, you still
can perceive the traditional Lanzarote, having also a good starting point for
your holiday activities. So you can e.g. make walking tours through the fascinating
volcanic region discovering the local fauna and flora, leap onto a mountain bike,
do hang gliding, rove through the underground volcanic tunnel 'La Cueva de los
Verdes', visit the volcanic cave 'Jameos del Agua' with its concert hall, or just
enjoy the beach. |

| The beach of
Arrieta is only 5 minutes away by car; you will find a snack bar and a children's
playground there. Also the white beaches next to Órzola with their turquoise-coloured
lagoons can be reached quickly, as can the bay of Famara and its rich dunes, the
surfers rendezvous. However, you can also find your own quiet place for bathing
on the bottom of the cliffs! |

In the village of Arrieta you
will find about everything you need during a holiday (supermarkets, diving school,
German doctor, petrol station ...) and in the evenings you can enjoy delicious
fish and the good local wine in one of the little restaurants at the seaside.
Sometimes, a Fiesta with singing and dancing comes up spontaneously.
